Les commissions municipales sont composées de façon à représenter le plus fidèlement possible la composition politique du conseil municipal. Elles sont chargées d’étudier les questions soumises à ce dernier et préparent son travail et ses délibérations.
Si elles n’ont aucun pouvoir de décision, c’est en leur sein que s’effectue le travail de réflexion permettant l’élaboration réelle des décisions municipales. Le Maire est Président de droit de chaque commission. En son absence, c’est le vice-président qui assure le bon fonctionnement de la commission concernée.
